LFW invests in programs that make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

We make recurring annual grants to nonprofit legal aid providers working together to form Washington’s legal aid network. Our grantees provide legal help to people facing urgent problems and advocate for systemic solutions to ensure fair outcomes.

We support new projects via small grants designed to encourage innovative approaches to client services.

We also fund special grants to address urgent and targeted issues, such as the problematic effects of mass incarceration on vulnerable people and their families.

Our commitment to the success of our grantees can be seen in our comprehensive array of support resources.
